iCube can give you an internship opportunity unlike any other, which is why our application process is extremely competitive. As an intern, you may be asked to do something as seemingly trivial as fact checking a website we have created, something as interactive as manning a virtual reality booth at a local event, or something as innovative as joining a brainstorming meeting for a potential virtual reality project.

High Value Manufacturing

1. Review and analyze the existing HVMC “TrackVia” database system and recommend improvements and refinements to enhance the clients experience and value.
2. Research current commercially available cloud platforms similar to Wu Foo to provide a comparative analysis of the options available to HVMC.
3. Provide recommendation for which alternative platform to utilize for data collection, analysis and summarization.
4. Discover, Build and Launch the revised platform for HVMC utilization.
5. Providing ongoing support would be considered as a potential option.

Blake McMeans

In this position, the funded student will be responsible for maintaining the Black McMeans Promise Tour website, as well as for acting as the primary liaison between the BusinessMedia Center and Blake’s agent. Learned skills will include content management, Drupal wireframing, and website maintenance. The intern will also assist with various strategic demonstration projects within the BusinessMedia Center.

Business Leadership Internship

This funded intern will gain hands-on experience in working with the Governor’s
Highway Safety Office on a variety of projects, including the management of and the continued development of the Reduce TN Crashes teen safety program. Learned skill sets will include digital publishing and graphic design, database management, external communications and public relations, video editing and production.

STEM Center Internship

The BusinessMedia Center partnered with the Millard-Oakley STEM Center in 2013 for the Upper Cumberland Rural STEM Initiative whose mission is to enhance student participation and awareness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) subjects throughout the region. Through this partnership, a career engagement video series was created and several iPad applications were developed for use on the STEMmobile.
