iCube can give you an internship opportunity unlike any other, which is why our application process is extremely competitive. As an intern, you may be asked to do something as seemingly trivial as fact checking a website we have created, something as interactive as manning a virtual reality booth at a local event, or something as innovative as joining a brainstorming meeting for a potential virtual reality project.

Creative Inquiry Summer Experience

Are your students looking for a paid summer internship that will help them develop their research and creative inquiry skills? If so, Tech’s Creative Inquiry Summer Experience (CISE) grant program is for your student. The only firm requirements are that they are an undergraduate student and agree to work with a faculty member this summer. Grants are for a maximum of $4000, with up to $3500 as a stipend. CISE grant applications MUST be submitted via e-mail as a single, combined PDF file to Ed Lisic, director of the QEP CISE program. Deadline is Friday, March 3 at 4:30 p.m.

High Value Manufacturing

1. Review and analyze the existing HVMC “TrackVia” database system and recommend improvements and refinements to enhance the clients experience and value.
2. Research current commercially available cloud platforms similar to Wu Foo to provide a comparative analysis of the options available to HVMC.
3. Provide recommendation for which alternative platform to utilize for data collection, analysis and summarization.
4. Discover, Build and Launch the revised platform for HVMC utilization.
5. Providing ongoing support would be considered as a potential option.

College of Interdisciplinary Studies

Marketing Internship for the College of Interdisciplinary Studies 


Must be a senior-level marketing major with the following courses completed:

MKT3400, DS3620, two marketing courses beyond MKT3400 and MKT4620

Accounting Internship

Students: Here is a list of the items that I need from each of you prior to assigning you a completed grade for Summer 2015 Accounting 4800 (internship). Each of these items appears as a column in the electronic gradebook.

Basic Business Fliers

The intern will work with the director of the Basic Business program to produce a printed piece flyer to promote the College of Business and its constituent programs.

Business Leadership Internship

This funded intern will gain hands-on experience in working with the Governor’s
Highway Safety Office on a variety of projects, including the management of
TNTrafficSafety.org and the continued development of the Reduce TN Crashes teen safety program. Learned skill sets will include digital publishing and graphic design, database management, external communications and public relations, video editing and production.

COBBOT Internship

Learned skill sets and responsibilities within this internship include digital application development, assisting with marketing and branding strategies for the College of Business, external communications and conducting interviews on behalf of the college, video editing and production, promotional material development and production, and representation of the College of Business student body at a variety of functions and events.
